ZERO is a Portuguese NGO focused on sustainability and environmental policy. This project aimed to completely revamp its digital presence by designing a platform that organizes content, simplifies communication, and increases citizen engagement. The result is a modern, accessible, and scalable website that translates ZERO’s impact into actionable initiatives and visual insights.
The key challenge was to build a platform that served multiple audiences—from students and educators to policymakers. It was essential to translate technical data into understandable content, simplify navigation across multiple programs, and turn the website into a real tool for community engagement.
The homepage was crafted to clearly highlight ZERO’s key programs, news, and environmental initiatives. The visual structure encourages exploration and provides quick access to different areas of the platform.
We designed layouts for team pages, programs, institutional content, and private user areas. The blog includes a dynamic filtering system that changes the color highlight based on the selected menu item. All pages were fully optimized for mobile to ensure a consistent experience across devices.
The redesigned ZERO platform led to a direct increase in user participation, action submissions, and demand for environmental programs in Portugal.
